Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo connection in the right side of the team Ruben Amorim is getting better and better game by game.
Their partnership has become a key attacking outlet down the right flank for United.
Under Amorim’s system, their link-up has helped United be more dynamic, Amad provides width or deeper creativity, while Mbeumo can either drive inside or free up space.
Amad also sees their success as part of a broader team goal: “most important thing is helping the team” rather than just individual roles.
Amad’s overlapping runs and Mbeumo’s movements help create space, Because they can switch roles, the defense struggles to predict who makes which run.
Their understanding has grown significantly since Mbeumo’s arrival. Amad acknowledged that at first “we were trying to understand each other” but now they’ve “found a solution” to how they play together.
The connection has already produced results: Amad assisted Mbeumo in a big match (against Liverpool) for a sharp finish.
Their combination is described as “constantly interchanging … dragging opposition markers out of shape,” which makes them dangerous.
This flexibility allows them to interchange: sometimes Mbeumo is more advanced (as a no.10) and Amad drops back to support (as wing-back), and vice versa.
Their positional fluidity is useful: when Amad overlaps, Mbeumo can cut inside; when Mbeumo drifts wide, Amad can take more creative freedom.
