G-Lion Football Academy Appreciates MVR Savannah Global LTD for Strategic Support

G-Lion Football Academy has expressed profound appreciation to one of its major partners, MVR Savannah Global LTD, for their support and belief in the academy’s vision, during the official unveiling of its football outfit held at Crescendo Sports Lounge, Oke Fia, Osogbo.

Speaking shortly after the unveiling ceremony, the President of G-Lion Football Academy extended heartfelt gratitude to parents, guardians, football stakeholders, well-wishers, and particularly to partners who have stood by the academy since its inception.

“I want to appreciate everyone present, especially MVR Savannah Global LTD under the leadership of the CEO, Sanni-Farinde Omowonuola. They have been very supportive of this dream and we do not take their generosity for granted,” the president stated.

The unveiling ceremony also featured the formal presentation of the academy’s coaching crew, led by Coach Saliu Saheed as Head Coach, with Coach Opeyemi Adetunji Oluwasegun as Assistant Coach. The duo is expected to bring their wealth of experience to drive the academy’s vision of nurturing and developing young football talents in Osun State and beyond.

G-Lion Football Academy reaffirmed its commitment to providing structured football development programs and creating platforms for young players to showcase their skills both locally and internationally.

G-Lion Football Academy Officially Launched in Osogbo

As part of its commitment to nurturing young football talents and creating competitive platforms for skill development, G-Lion Football Academy has officially launched its football academy in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

The colorful launch ceremony took place at Crescendo Sports Lounge, Oke Fia, Osogbo, and attracted the presence of football administrators, sportsmen and women, journalists, parents, sponsors, and enthusiastic supporters.

In his opening address, Coach Abdulrasheed Adeleke (popularly known as ‘Leke Hamzat’), the Chief Consultant of the Academy, introduced G-Lion Football Academy to the audience, which included parents, stakeholders, and members of the new management team. He described the launch as “a new dawn” for football development in Osun State, emphasizing that the academy is offering parents a valuable opportunity to enroll their children who are passionate about football and help them maximize their potential.

Speaking on behalf of the Osun State Football Association Chairman, Mr. Tunde Adebiyi (‘Baba Coach’), who is the Association’s Secretary, commended the President of G-Lion Football Academy for the bold step in establishing such a laudable initiative. He highlighted the transformation in football development, noting that the sport has evolved from a recreational activity into a viable global industry.

“Football has transcended what people used to think of it as just another exercise; it has become a money-making machine. During our playing and coaching days, we went through a lot, but today, everything has been digitalized. As custodians of football in the state, we urge parents and guardians to support their children who have chosen football as a career path and ensure that they are also well educated,” Mr. Adebiyi said.

The event also featured the presentation and unveiling of the academy’s coaching crew as well as the introduction of some of the pioneer kids who have already registered with the academy.

Dignitaries at the ceremony included sports journalists, football stakeholders, coaches, administrators, parents, and guardians, all of whom expressed optimism that G-Lion Football Academy will play a significant role in discovering and grooming the next generation of football stars from Osun State.
