It is with immense pride that Starmax Academy FC announces the signing of our product, Obed Ugondu, to his first professional contract with FC Ingolstadt 04 of Germany.

After successfully completing comprehensive medical examinations, Obed has officially joined the Schanzer family. This milestone represents years of dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering belief from the coaches, staff, and players at Starmax FC, Okigwe LGA, Imo State.

Obed's journey from our academy pitches to European professional football is a testament to our commitment to developing world-class talent. He embodies the Starmax values: Discipline, Hard Work, and Faith.

Our own product!Obed Ugondu 🇳🇬🇳🇬leaves Red-White Erfurt🇩🇪🇩🇪 at the end of the season

Red-white Erfurt and Obed Ugondu are going separate ways after the current season ends. The 24-year-old offensive player will not renew his expiring contract and will leave the club in the summer.

Obed has been an important part of Erfurt's offense in the past two years and made impressive accents in the current season as well: In 35 cross-competitive games, the Nigerian scored 20 goals and provided 7 more shots.
The club has held talks in recent weeks about a possible continuation of cooperation, but respects the player's decision to want to take the next step in his career and play in a higher league in the future.

💬 "Obed has developed with us in sports and has always given everything for red and white. Of course, we would have liked to keep him, but we respect his desire to face a new challenge. We thank him for his dedication and wish him all the best for his future," explains head coach Fabian Ge**er.

When I look at this picture,I don’t see 15 players. I see 15 Future contracts. 15 Families about to change. 15 stories the world need to hear.

The road from the pitch in Okigwe imo state to Europe is REAL. I’ve seen it happen.it starts with what you do today at training.

3 Rules to make it :

1. Be 1% better everyday-Extra 10 shots After training.Extra 10 Sprints.

2. Stay ready. You don’t get prepared when the calls comes.you be prepared.

3. Believe + Work - pray, but also run. Chukwuokike blesses the grind.

Some of you will play World Cup. Some will play champions league. But all of you can go PRO if you want it bad enough.
