The Goal Bound Sports Initiative coaches are proud to celebrate the Global Day of Play in collaboration with Coaches Across Continents.
As part of this global movement, we are honored to celebrate with athletes with disabilities in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria, under the guidance of their dedicated coaches.

Through the power of sports, we are creating an inclusive environment where everyone can learn and grow together.

Beyond the games, we use sports as a tool to educate participants on importance of life skills, public health, entrepreneurship, teamwork, leadership, and other values that empower them to succeed both on and off the field.
Today reminds us that play is for everyone, regardless of ability. Together, we are building confidence, promoting inclusion, and creating opportunities for a brighter future.

KEY MESSAGE
We may have different abilities, but we all have the right to play, participate have fun and feel inclusive.

Sanctuary Campaign

Creating safe and inclusive spaces through Purposeful Play has been an amazing experience for our learners.Through games like Stereotype square, Flags For Fun, Leadership Lines etc from the Sanctuary Campaign curriculum, participants are learning teamwork, empathy, communication, and respect while having fun together.

Every session gives children and young people the confidence to express themselves, build friendships, and feel a sense of belonging within their community. The smiles, laughter, and active participation during our sessions are proof that play can truly create positive change.

We remain committed to delivering regular purposeful play sessions that inspire growth, unity, and learning in our organisation.

Coaches of the Goal Bound Sports Initiative delivered an engaging, amazing and inspiring session that brought learning to life through a Purposeful Play session, with young people in our community using games from the My Health, My Rights Curriculum from the CIC training

Through fun, teamwork, and interactive activities, we created a safe space to learn and discuss important topics around health, rights, confidence, and positive decision-making.

It was inspiring to see the young people actively participate, share their thoughts, and learn from one another. Together, we are using sport as a tool for education, inclusion, and positive change in our community.

Thank you to all the participants and supporters who made the session successful.
