Open Letter to the Borno State Government and Ministry for Youth, Sports Development & Poverty Alleviation
Subject: Call for Immediate Action on the Performance of El-Kanemi Warriors FC
To the Executive Governor of Borno State,
The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry for Youth, Sports Development & Poverty Alleviation,
And all relevant authorities,
As a concerned supporter of El-Kanemi Warriors, I am writing about the poor performance of our beloved team.
For too long, El-Kanemi Warriors have struggled in the league, fighting relegation instead of competing for honors. This is not what Borno State deserves. The problem is not the passion of the fans or the lack of talent in our state. It is a problem of leadership and technical direction.
To save the club and give Borno youths a team to be proud of, I urge the government to take these actions before next season:
1. Sack the entire technical crew, including Technical Adviser Coach Kabiru Dogo and all assistant coaches. The results show that the current setup has failed.
2. Dissolve the current board of El-Kanemi Warriors. We need fresh leadership with accountability and a winning mindset.
3. Set up an independent committee for player recruitment. This committee should select players based on merit and performance.
4. Ensure at least 50% of the squad are Borno State indigenous players. Our state has abundant football talent that should be given the chance to represent us.
El-Kanemi Warriors is our pride. With the right decisions, the club can compete, win, and make Borno proud again.
I trust that the government will act in the interest of the people and the future of our football.
Sincerely
Mohammed Mallam Bunu
Concerned El-Kanemi Warriors Supporter
