Martin Ødegaard: “I've been dreaming about winning these trophies, since I grew up playing football as a kid with my friends, in the little pitch next to my house in Norway, It's something special that we can achieve that has not been done before.

"It was 22 years since we last won the Premier League, and now finally, we did it. So we want to make even more history. When you get the taste of winning and lifting a trophy, you know how nice it feels. So obviously we want to do it again.

“It would mean a lot to everyone, to our supporters, and we're ready to do it. I'm looking forward to the game.”

🗣️ “I heard Mikel Arteta saying Arsenal will become European champions this Saturday and honestly I almost choked. 😭

This is exactly what happens when small success enters some people’s heads too quickly.

You win one controversial Premier League title filled with arguments about PGMOL decisions and suddenly you start behaving like you are Sir Alex Ferguson. Calm down my friend. 😂

The arrogance coming out from Arsenal right now is unbelievable.
You have not even won the Champions League before and already you are talking like Real Madrid.

And the biggest mistake you can make in football is disrespecting the defending champions and underestimating PSG.

PSG are not Brighton.
PSG are not Bournemouth.
This is the highest level of football.

In France we say:
‘Plus tu montes haut avec arrogance, plus la chute fait mal.’

Meaning:
‘The higher you rise with arrogance, the more painful the fall becomes.’

PSG will humble Arsenal badly.
They will teach Arteta a lesson he will never forget easily.

🗣| Mikel Arteta explains his reasoning for replacing Aaron Ramsdale with David Raya in 2023:

"That's a great example of what a manager needs, I was very convinced we had to make a change, but not because Aaron [Ramsdale] didn't have the quality but because I believed to go to the next level we needed a different profile of goalkeeper. And it was very difficult to explain, very difficult upstairs, externally, it could maybe not make sense."

"And that's why you need a Sporting director, in this case it was Edu and I went through him, he said "you know we're gonna have an issue" I said I know, "Mikel you're gonna expose yourself" I said I know. "You really want to do this?" I said yes. And the board needed to be convinced and I understood, not because Mikel says this so let's do it, it doesn't work like this."

"And then it has to work, Iñaki [Caña] played a pivotal role because he knew him [Raya] from Brentford and for many years. What I was sure is I don't know if it was going to work but I believe he was going to present himself, and dedicate to the coach and he's going to be an incredible ambassador for the club.
