PUBLIC DISCLAIMER NOTICE

It has come to the attention of the Skating Development Academy of Nigeria (SDAN), the official organizer of the National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge, that a promotional flyer is currently circulating on social media claiming that an "Inline Hockey Club Challenge 2026" will take place in Calabar, Cross River State.

We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that SDAN is NOT organizing any Inline Hockey Club Challenge in Calabar, nor have we authorized any individual, organization, or group to organize an event under the name, branding, or identity of the National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge in Calabar.

The flyer in circulation has replicated and imitated the official National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge logo and branding, which may mislead athletes, clubs, officials, sponsors, and the general public. This unauthorized use of our identity appears intended to create confusion regarding the legitimacy and ownership of the event.

For the avoidance of doubt:

✅ The ongoing Face-Off Series remains the official national competition and will continue throughout June 2026, concluding in August 2026.

✅ The official National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge 2026, organized by the Skating Development Academy of Nigeria (SDAN), will hold from 23rd – 25th October 2026 at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

We advise all clubs, players, officials, partners, and supporters of inline hockey in Nigeria to verify information through our official communication channels before registering for or participating in any event claiming association with the National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge.

The Skating Development Academy of Nigeria remains committed to the development, promotion, and growth of inline hockey across Nigeria and appreciates the continued support of the hockey community.

the National Inline Hockey Clubs Challenge delivered exciting action, competitive spirit, and an impressive total of 63 goals scored across the tournament. Clubs showcased their attacking strength, teamwork, and determination, making the competition one to remember.

Freedom Gliders Inline Hockey Club emerged as the highest-scoring team of the tournament with an outstanding 19 goals, proving their dominance in front of goal. De Wolves Inline Hockey Club followed closely with 14 goals, displaying consistency and strong offensive play throughout the competition.

Shadow Panthers Inline Hockey Club and Phantom Gliders Inline Hockey Club both recorded 10 goals each, demonstrating resilience and quality performances during the tournament. Harmony Inline Hockey Club added 6 goals, while United Inline Hockey Club contributed 3 goals to the overall tally.

Roaring Lions Inline Hockey Club, despite scoring 1 goal, showed courage and determination as part of the growing inline hockey movement in Nigeria.

The tournament highlighted the rapid development of inline hockey in the country, with every club contributing to the success and excitement of the competition. One Sport. One Passion.

clash between Freedom Gliders Inline Hockey Club and Shadow Panthers Inline Hockey Club delivered exactly what fans hope for—energy, skill, and a strong competitive edge from start to finish.

From the opening face-off, Freedom Gliders came out flying, showing sharp coordination and offensive intent.

Their quick puck movement and aggressive forechecking paid off early, allowing them to take control of the first period with a solid lead. By the end of the first half, they had established momentum and confidence, finishing strong with a 3–2 advantage.

However, Shadow Panthers had other plans.
Coming into the second period with renewed intensity, the Panthers tightened their defense and became more clinical in attack.

Their transitions were faster, and their finishing improved significantly. They capitalized on key opportunities, turning the tide of the game with composure and determination.

The shift in momentum was clear as Freedom Gliders outscored in the second period.
Despite a resilient effort from Shadow panthers, including notable saves from their goalkeeper and disciplined play under pressure, Shadow Panthers maintained control when it mattered most.

Their ability to convert chances and stay organized defensively proved decisive.
At the final whistle, the scoreboard told the story: *Freedom Gliders 7 – 4 Shadow Panthers*
It was a thrilling encounter filled with moments of brilliance, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Both teams displayed commendable performance, but Freedom Gliders’ strong start ultimately made the difference.

A fantastic game and a great showcase of inline hockey talent in the Face-Off Series.
