He who is not prepared now, will not be prepared when needed. Colonel Phil Torres

You can't wait until you need a skill to develop that skill; at that time, it will be too late, especially if the skill you need has to do with martial arts or self-defense. You have to prepare now in order to be prepared when your back is against the wall. Procrastination can mean death, in certain situations.

Maintain control over your mind and your body. Don't allow yourself to give in to laziness or apathy. As the Havamal states, you can't feel a battle in your bones, you have to be prepared for it when you leave home (paraphrased).

Never allow yourself to be caught unprepared. Now is the time to prepare; tomorrow is too late. Prepare today for tomorrow's battles!.
