With empathy and compassion, ROCC NYC (Resources, Opportunities, Connections and Community) connects vulnerable New Yorkers to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive in our great city. In 2022, they started greeting buses of immigrants at Port Authority, providing a first point of welcome for the city’s newest residents, and have continued this work at their Hell’s Kitchen resource center ever since. They remain focused on supporting some of NYC’s most vulnerable, and work in partnership with a multitude of trusted legal and social services providers. ROCC NYC builds bridges connecting immigrants to resources and supportive communities, creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and included. From marching with them to cheering from afar, I’m proud to support and encourage you to do the same.
