LISANDRO MARTÍNEZ IS STARTING FOR ARGENTINA VS BENIN.

Licha, please… remember what this game is.

Yes, it’s Messi’s farewell match for Argentina.

But from a Manchester United perspective, Lisandro’s ONLY priority should be:

GET THROUGH THIS GAME WITHOUT GETTING INJURED.

No unnecessary challenges.

No reckless tackles.

No throwing your body around like it’s a Champions League final.

Just play smart, play safe and get the 90 minutes over with.

United have already suffered enough with injuries. We genuinely cannot afford another one.

Because if Lisandro gets injured here…

BROTHER, JUST STAY IN ARGENTINA. 😭😂

I’m not even joking. That could genuinely be the end of his Manchester United career.

We need Licha back in Manchester IN ONE PIECE.

Messi deserves his farewell.

Argentina deserve their moment.

But Manchester United fans deserve to see Lisandro Martínez walk off that pitch healthy.

NO HEROICS TODAY, LICHA. PLEASE.

Tottenham have had a disastrous start to the season under Roberto De Zerbi.

But hear me out…

I still believe Spurs can completely turn this around.

There is too much quality in that squad to write them off this early. They have quality across almost every area of the pitch.

For me, the biggest thing De Zerbi needs to solve is the midfield balance.

He has different profiles available, but he needs to find the right combination of control, creativity, physicality and defensive security.

Get that balance right and Tottenham could look like a completely different team.

I’m not writing Spurs off yet. 👀

Do you think De Zerbi can turn it around?

The difference is CLEAR.
I just wish Michael Carrick would give him more playing time he deserve at Manchester United

RONALDO HAS FINALLY TOLD HIS SIDE OF THE STORY.

And honestly… this is MUCH deeper than just Ronaldo not playing against Norway.

According to Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Jesus promised him a specific plan for the international break.

He was supposed to play certain games, manage his fitness, and remain an important part of Portugal’s project.

Then came Norway.

Ronaldo says Jesus told him he would play 30 minutes. He warmed up for the entire second half…

AND NEVER GOT ON.

Ronaldo says that was the first breach of trust.

Then came the meeting between Ronaldo, Jesus and Al Nassr sporting director Simão Coutinho.

According to Ronaldo, they agreed that Jesus would publicly explain what had happened and admit that the decision to make him warm up without playing was a mistake.

Ronaldo says that promise was broken too.

That was when he decided to leave the camp.

But here is the part that caught my attention:

RONALDO HAS NOT RETIRED FROM PORTUGAL.

He has apologised to the Portuguese fans, apologised to his teammates and accepted that he deserves whatever punishment comes from the Federation.

But he says that once his punishment is served, if he is fit and still performing for his club…

HE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PORTUGAL.

So this isn't Ronaldo saying goodbye.

This is Ronaldo saying:

“I still want to compete.”

At 41, after everything he has achieved, he still wants to wear that Portugal shirt.

That mentality is honestly unbelievable. 🐐🇵🇹

Now the question is…

WHO DO YOU BELIEVE? RONALDO OR JORGE JESUS? 👀

And remember, this is Ronaldo’s version of events. Jorge Jesus disputes that there was such an agreement.

Great news for Cristiano Ronaldo. Finally, it looks like he’s going to get the retirement farewell that a legend of his stature deserves.

I’m also glad that whatever issues existed between Ronaldo, Jorge Jesus and the Portuguese Federation appear to have been handled behind the scenes.

This is exactly how I want Ronaldo’s international career to end, with maturity, respect and dignity, rather than unnecessary negativity and toxicity.

After everything Cristiano Ronaldo has given Portugal, he deserves to walk away on his own terms and receive the proper farewell that a player of his legacy deserves.

Let the final chapter be about celebrating the legend.

Messi’s farewell match is only hours away, yet the timeline has been incredibly dry all day.

Then Cristiano Ronaldo drops his statement and suddenly that is ALL anyone is talking about.

This is why you simply cannot deny Ronaldo’s greatness. The man doesn’t even need to be on the pitch to dominate the football conversation.

Messi may have his farewell match tonight, but Ronaldo just reminded everyone why his name carries a different level of weight.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the embodiment of football greatness. Even when the spotlight is supposed to be somewhere else, somehow, it ends up finding him.

OLise & CHERKI COULD BECOME MORE IMPORTANT TO FRANCE THAN MBAPPÉ & DEMBÉLÉ UNDER ZIDANE.

Hear me out.

Mbappé and Dembélé give France the finishing, explosiveness and end product.

But Olise and Cherki give them something different:

CREATIVITY. VISION. UNLOCKING DEFENCES.

And that could be just as important.

If Olise and Cherki aren’t creating those openings, Mbappé can sometimes become isolated and ineffective because there simply isn’t enough service into the dangerous areas.

Look at what we’ve already seen under Zidane.

Olise has been France’s standout attacking player, while Cherki has been given the freedom to operate centrally and connect the midfield with the attack. Against Belgium, the two were involved in France’s late attacking explosion.

Olise + Cherki = THE CREATORS.

Mbappé + Dembélé = THE FINISHERS.

And I can already see what Zidane is building.

These two could become incredibly important to this France team.

🇫🇷 Olise + Cherki.

IF THESE REPORTS ARE TRUE, THEN RONALDO MAY HAVE ALREADY PLAYED HIS LAST GAME FOR PORTUGAL.

And honestly, that would be sad.

Ronaldo leaving Portugal’s camp after the situation with Jorge Jesus has made his international future very uncertain. Jesus is also doing well with Portugal, and both he and the Portuguese federation have made it clear that the door is still open for Ronaldo to return.

But if Ronaldo genuinely refuses to return while Jorge Jesus remains manager, then what happens next?

Does Ronaldo simply walk away from Portugal without a proper farewell?

I really hope not.

The relationship between Ronaldo and Jorge Jesus must be far more complicated than we initially thought. Because Ronaldo could still put everything aside, make peace with the manager and give Portugal one final international appearance.

Just ONE game.

One proper goodbye.

Look at Messi. His farewell with Argentina has become a celebration of his entire international journey. From his debut, the heartbreak, the criticism, the World Cup triumph, everything.

That is the kind of ending a football legend deserves.

Ronaldo has given Portugal EVERYTHING. 146 goals. 234 appearances. A European Championship. Nations League glory. Two decades of memories.

I love Cristiano Ronaldo, but sometimes his pride and stubbornness can make things more complicated than they need to be.

Ultimately, it’s his decision.

I just hope his final chapter with Portugal doesn’t end with a walkout.

CR7 DESERVES A PROPER GOODBYE. 🇵🇹🐐

MANCHESTER UNITED INJURY UPDATE.

According to the latest reports, here’s the current picture ahead of the Spurs game:

🔜 Marcus Rashford — possible return vs Spurs
🔜 Carlos Baleba — possible return vs Spurs
🔜 Kobbie Mainoo — possible return vs Spurs
🔜 Amad Diallo — possible return vs Spurs

⏳ Benjamin Šeško — late October/early November
⏳ Matthijs de Ligt — November

❓ Patrick Dorgu — no return date
❓ Noussair Mazraoui — no return date
❓ Manuel Ugarte — no return date
❓ Tom Heaton — no return date

Karl Darlow is also being monitored with a possible return around the Spurs game.

The BIG FOUR for me are obvious. 👀

RASHFORD. BALEBA. MAINOO. AMAD.

If Carrick can get all four back for Tottenham, that's a massive boost.

Especially Baleba + Mainoo in midfield and Amad + Rashford back in the attack.

Now we just need the injury list to STOP growing. 😭

PLEASE, FOOTBALL GODS.
