At just 5 years old, Murtaza Ahmadi from Ghazni, Afghanistan went viral after photos of him wearing a homemade Messi jersey circulated.
His older brother made it from a blue-and-white plastic bag after their father couldnโt afford an official shirt.
Messi, together with UNICEF, responded by sending Murtaza two signed jerseys and a football.
Later that year, Murtazaโs dream came true when he met Messi in person as a player mascot at a Barcelona game ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
