KANO PILLARS FC END OF SEASON STATEMENT
As the curtains draw on the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season, former champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Kano Pillars FC wishes to extend its profound appreciation to the Government and good people of Kano State for their unwavering support throughout the campaign.
First and foremost, we sincerely thank the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the constant support, encouragement and commitment his administration continues to provide towards the growth and development of Kano Pillars FC. The remarkable attention given to sports development by this administration has continued to inspire everyone associated with our great club.
We also deeply appreciate our main sponsors, Radio France International (RFI Hausa), for believing in the vision and project of the Sai Masu Gida. Your partnership, support and commitment towards projecting the image of the club remain highly invaluable as we continue striving for greater heights.
Our immense gratitude also goes to the Kano State Football Association under the able leadership of Alhaji Dr. Shariff Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan for the fatherly role and excellent support accorded to the club throughout the season. We equally acknowledge the immense contributions of the Kano State House Committee on Sports under the leadership of Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), as well as the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Sports Matters, Hon. Sani Musa Danja, for their tireless efforts, guidance and support towards ensuring stability and progress within the team.
Kano Pillars FC also appreciates the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter under the Chairmanship of Malam Zahraddeen Saleh, alongside all media organizations and media partners for their professionalism, coverage and dedication in promoting not only our club but football development in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
To our esteemed stakeholders, supporters groups and our passionate fans across Kano State, Nigeria and beyond, we say thank you for standing firmly behind the club through both difficult and successful moments. Your loyalty, prayers and encouragement remained our biggest source of strength throughout the season. The Sai Masu Gida family remains incomplete without your unwavering support.
We equally commend the main ‘actors’, our players, technical crew and backroom staff for their sacrifice, professionalism and resilience in ensuring that the club finished the season in a safe position despite the numerous setbacks encountered during the first half of the campaign. Their determination and fighting spirit truly reflected the identity and tradition of Kano Pillars FC.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of the club under the able guidance of our General Manager, Ahmed Musa, MON, OON, whose dedication, sacrifice, leadership and commitment to the progress of the club continued to inspire both players and staff throughout the season. We equally thank our ever-present Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar (Na Yara Mai Samba), for his steadfast support, encouragement and unwavering passion towards the success and stability of the Sai Masu Gida.
While we acknowledge that finishing in the lower half of the league table falls short of the expectations and standards of this great club, we strongly believe that this season will serve as a valuable learning curve and stepping stone towards a brighter future. Plans are already underway to reposition and strengthen the club ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Sai Masu Gida will bounce back stronger, more determined and more competitive. We remain fully committed to restoring the glory, pride and winning mentality associated with Kano Pillars FC and putting smiles back on the faces of our teeming supporters.
As we look forward to a new chapter, our slogan for the upcoming season remains:
“We Can Do It Again.”
Thank you all for your continued support, trust and belief in the Sai Masu Gida project.
Signed:
