CLUB STATEMENT
In line with its vision to build a sustainable and competitive football structure, the management of Kano Pillars FC, through the Technical Department, has taken decisive steps to reposition the club’s youth setups, transforming them into a formidable breeding ground for nurturing and developing top talents who will eventually graduate into the senior team.
As part of this strategic restructuring, the technical crews of Junior Pillars, as well as the U-19, U-15, and U-13 teams, have been dissolved with immediate effect. This decision also extends to other support roles within these teams, including curators, masseurs, and other ancillary staff. The move underscores the club’s commitment to instilling fresh ideas, modern coaching methodologies, and renewed energy across all youth categories.
In a swift and proactive response, the Technical Department has recommended the appointment of new officials to steer the youth teams towards greater excellence:
Junior Pillars will now be led by Ibrahim A. Musa as Technical Adviser, with Coach Garzali taking charge as Head Coach.
The U-19 side will be managed by Coach Usman Ikramatu and Coach Mustapha, while Habu Kamara assumes the role of Team Manager.
Suleiman Ibrahim Yakasai (Lajin) has been tasked with overseeing the U-15 team, bringing his wealth of experience to guide the young talents.
At the U-13 level, Coach Nura Platini and Tasiu Pele will lead the technical team, ensuring the earliest stages of player development receive the highest standard of coaching and mentorship.
This restructuring marks a bold step by Kano Pillars FC to align its youth development philosophy with global best practices, laying the foundation for sustained success and a steady flow of homegrown players to the senior squad. The management firmly believes that these changes will not only enhance the technical growth of young players but also reinforce the club’s proud legacy as one of the powerhouses of Nigerian football.
The club remains committed to supporting all newly appointed officials and will provide them with the necessary resources to succeed in their respective roles.
