KADA STARS, KADA QUEENS CLINCH DOUBLE TITLES AT WEST AFRICA HOCKEY CHALLENGE CUP IN GHANA

Kada Stars and Kada Queens have emerged champions of the male and female categories respectively at the 2026 Median HFS West Africa Invitational Challenge Cup held in Accra, Ghana.

The Kaduna-based hockey teams delivered exceptional performances throughout the tournament, defeating Ghanaian sides Ark Men and Ark Ladies in the finals to secure a remarkable double victory for Nigeria.

Kada Stars produced a commanding performance to defeat Ark Men 5-0 in the men’s final, while Kada Queens recorded a narrow but deserved 1-0 victory over Ark Ladies to clinch the women’s title.

The tournament, organised by Hockey Farm Sports in collaboration with the Ghana Revenue Authority Sports Unit and the Ghana Hockey Federation, featured leading hockey clubs from across West Africa and served as a platform for strengthening regional sporting relations, player development, and international competitive exposure.

The triumph of the Kaduna teams has been widely hailed as a reflection of the Kaduna State Government’s sustained commitment to sports development under the leadership of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, whose administration continues to provide support for athlete participation and the advancement of sports across the State.
