FIFA President Gianni Infantino has said preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup are progressing smoothly, insisting the tournament will deliver an “unforgettable experience” for fans across the world.

The global football showpiece will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with less than a month to go before kick-off across the expanded 104-match format.

According to a post obtained from FIFA’s website on Thursday, Infantino said, Preparations are going actually extremely well and the excitement is really building.

He adds that the scale of preparation across all host cities reflects the importance of the tournament.

With Julián Álvarez priced out over a €100M+ (€130M) PSG push and Atlético refusing to sell to a direct rival, Deco has turned all focus to the Chelsea forward.

Deco has already spoken with his camp and received some openness over a move to the Catalan club. He is seen as a serious alternative to Álvarez, especially due to the financial complexity of that operation. ☎️

Pedro is now #1 priority for Barça as Lewandowski’s long-term replacement. This move comes after problems arose in signing Álvarez, who is very happy at Atlético Madrid and NOT interested in pushing for a move to Barça. ❌

The Brazilian is reportedly open to leaving London, especially if Chelsea misses out on European football next season—the chances of which look slim with only 2 games remaining.
