EXCERPTS FROM THE SERMON (07/06/2026)
COCIN CHOIR SUNDAY
TEXT: John 4:23-24, 1 Corinthians 13:2, Psalm 119:9
TOPIC: GRACE INSPIRED WORSHIP
PREACHER: Rev. Samson Ananias
Worship is the continuous outpouring of oneself in response to the amazing grace of God. It is not merely singing songs, attending church services, or engaging in religious activities. True worship is a lifestyle of surrender that flows from a heart overwhelmed by God's unmerited favor.
Grace Inspired worship shifts the focus from what we can get from God to what we can give to Him. The worshipper is no longer motivated by fear, guilt, or religious duty but by gratitude and love. Such worship permeates every aspect of lifeβour thoughts, words, actions, relationships, and service.
We do not worship to make God love us; we worship because He first loved us. We do not worship to obtain grace; we worship because grace has already been given.
We must never allow the temporary situations and circumstances of this life to dictate our worship of God.
Ways through which our Worship to God can be manifest:
1. Through Obedience
2. Through a lifestyle of service
Acceptable worship begins with a sincere heart; therefore believers must also be intentional about offering worship that is acceptable to Him.
