CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE SUDDEN PASSING OF JOHN KIM ("GOMA GOMA")

September 13th, 2026

The Management, Technical Crew, Players and entire Staff of Mighty Jets International Football Club are deeply saddened to receive the news of the sudden passing of our former player, brother and football icon, John Kim, affectionately known and celebrated as "GOMA GOMA."

Goma Goma was a remarkably talented footballer whose commitment, passion and skill left an indelible mark on the domestic league. Beyond his stellar contributions to Mighty Jets Int'l, his distinguished career across top Nigerian clubs including Plateau United, Gombe United, MFM FC, and Sunshine Stars earned him tremendous respect and admiration across the entire Nigerian football industry.

To many, he was far more than a player on the pitch; he was a true friend, a brother and an inspiring presence whose camaraderie touched everyone around him. His loss is a profound blow not only to his family and close associates but to the entire football fraternity in Plateau State and Nigeria at large.

We extend our heartfelt commiserations and prayers to his family, friends, loved ones and former teammates during this exceptionally painful time.

We pray that Almighty God, who gives and takes away, grants his family and the entire football community the fortitude and strength to bear this irreparable loss.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

The Management of Mighty Jets International FC of Jos, under the leadership of General Manager Mbum Ferdinand, hereby issues a special appeal to all our loyal supporters, staff and the sports-loving public of Plateau State to rally behind our sister club, Plateau United FC, in their crucial NPFL home fixture tomorrow.
