While rivals like Man City and Arsenal seamlessly integrate academy talents like Nico O’Reilly and Myles Lewis-Skelly into their first teams, Manchester United continues to struggle with the same pathway for players like Harry Amass.
​Amass has proven his talent, winning the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award, shining in pre-season, and showing what he can do when given a chance. Yet, instead of building trust and giving him real minutes as a long-term successor to Luke Shaw, the club continually looks externally or stalls their momentum.
​We need to actually trust our Carrington graduates instead of letting elite potential slip away. If other top clubs can rely on their academy kids on the biggest stages, why can't United do the same?

I’ve watched Harry Amass closely, and I genuinely believe Manchester United have a special young talent on their hands.
​He’s composed, technically gifted, fearless in possession, and most importantly, he actually understands the defensive and tactical responsibilities of playing left-back. Players like that don’t come around every day.
​Young footballers don’t develop by sitting on the bench or being cast away too early.
​They develop by ​being trusted in high-stakes moments, making mistakes and learning from them, growing week-in, week-out with the first team that’s how confidence is built, and that’s how you truly discover who is ready for the highest level.
​We already made this exact mistake with Álvaro Fernández. We had a brilliant young left-back, never gave him a genuine pathway, and watched him turn into a player good enough for Real Madrid. That’s the kind of talent you cannot afford to lose without ever giving them a real chance.
​The proudest chapters in this club's history have always been built on trusting youth.
​Harry Amass deserves that opportunity. 👏 😫
