You must be wondering who this is...This is Brian Banks, a young American football star whose life was destroyed by a lie.

At just 17, he was accused of a crime he didn’t commit. That false accusation cost him 6 years in prison and his football dream at USC.

When the truth finally came out, the woman who accused him admitted she made it all up yet Brian only got $150,000 for losing his youth, freedom, and future.

It’s heartbreaking… but it’s not just an American story. Here in Nigeria, there are countless Brians behind bars, people forgotten by the system. Some have spent years in prison without trial while some don’t even know their charges.

For every high-profile case we see, there are hundreds that go unseen. Innocent people paying for crimes they never committed.

Brian got his justice but how many Nigerians will? Our justice system needs more than reforms it needs empathy, accountability, and urgency.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UNILORIN ASPIRANT 🔥

For university of Ilorin admitted candidates that have been asking me for at least the amount you'll spend for school fees and so..

Let me brief you, Note this estimates are based on the previous years, there might be little or no changes...

1️⃣ Your acceptance fee is and should be #40,000 + remita charges

2️⃣ School fees based on the previous year was 230K+ and it varies per department
MBBS & Nursing—321k+
MLS & Physioterapy-301k+
Anatomy & physiology—270k+
Vet medicine—260k+
Most other courses are 230k+

3️⃣ Additional 5–10K will be added for DE applicant

4️⃣ if it will be regarded, additional 10K will be added for those who couldn't pay before the deadline; as late payment charges.

5️⃣There will be additional amounts for series of photocopies you'll do; books;study materials, lab coats and other stuff like that

6️⃣ Hostel fee is there; school hostel is 40k+, other school hostels and private hostels are 40k;60k;100;120k, 180k+

Hostels off campus can also varies with single rooms from 50k; selfcon 70k and flat 180k above

7️⃣ And as well the appliances and accessories you'll buy into your hostels; fan, table, chair ,gas cylinder whatever

This atleast should estimate more than 400K

Instead of wasting your time catching cruise upandown or looking for materials around utilize this moment to generate money for yourself.

No matter how rich your parents can be they can never get everything you need; don't forget the fact of the daily spending.

Those little things alone cost a lot in this modern day Nigeria. May God bless you and money won't be your problem till you finish school

MOT COMMON ERRORS IN ENGLISH(1) ✍🏿

1. Don't say: People are much at the market❌❌
Say: People are many at the market☑️☑️

Why? Much is used for uncountable nouns like water and blood. Many is used for countable nouns like people and cars.

2. Don't say: Let us share the grace in unity❌❌
Say: Let us say the grace in unison☑️☑️

3. Don't say: She is whining us❌❌
Say: she is teasing or 'winding' us ☑️☑️

Why? The word 'whine' means to complain or nag. It has nothing to do with teasing or flattering a person. When I made some research on that word years back, I discovered that the first Nigerians who first used that word meant to use 'wind' /waind/, but they must have confused it with whine😁

4. Don't say: On the safer side❌❌
Say: on the safe side ☑️☑️

5. Don't say: she was sober when she heard the bad news❌❌
Say: she was sad when she heard the bad news☑️☑️

Why? Sober does not mean sad. It means serious or not drunk. Also, solemn does not mean quiet. It means very serious.

6. Don't say: She was hit by a straight bullet ❌❌
Say: she was hit by a stray bullet☑️☑️

7. Don't say: to serve our Father's land❌❌
Say: to serve our Fatherland☑️☑️

8. Don't say: the chair is between you and I❌❌
Say: the chair is between you and me.☑️☑️
Why? Objective pronouns must always follow preposition. This is also why you must say: 'on behalf of us students' and not on behalf of we students.

9. Don't say: majority of them are here❌❌
Say: a majority of them are here☑️☑️

10. Don't say: to add salt to injury❌❌
Say: to add insult to injury☑️☑️
Why? ',insult' is the correct usage in the idiom. Although adding both salt and insult to injury will have the same painful effect😁😁

11a. Theirself ❌
b. Themselves ☑️

12a. I want to ease myself❌
b. I want to relieve myself ☑️

13a. Irregardless ❌
b. Regardless☑️

14a. Greatful❌
b. Grateful☑️

15a. Splitted ❌
b. Split ☑️

16. He is too good❌
b. He is so good ☑️

Why? "Too" is used for a situation that is negatively excessive. "So" is used when something is abundant but not negative.

17a. Please borrow me money ❌
b. Please lend me some money ☑️

Why? Borrow is to take while lend is to give.

18. She contacted HIV/ AIDS ❌
b. She contracted HIV/AIDS ☑️

19. Several people died in the ghastly accident ❌
Several people died in the fatal accident ☑️

Why? "Ghastly" describes an accident that leads to injuries whole "fatal" describes accidents that lead to death.

20. People are too much there ❌
People are so many there ☑️

Why? "Much" is used for uncountable nouns while " many" is used for countable nouns.
