Promising Kwara Talent Secures Loan Move from 3SC to Abakaliki for Career Growth

…Faruq Seeks Regular Playing Time After Falling Out of Favour at 3SC

A promising young footballer from Kwara State has taken a decisive step to advance his career after finding opportunities limited at Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Ibadan.

The player, Faruq, who previously starred for Ilorin-based Gaa Akanbi FC, joined the Oluyole Warriors under the reign of Coach Gbenga Ogunbote. However, following recent changes in the technical crew and management at Shooting Stars, the young talent found himself not in the club’s immediate plans.

In a move designed to ensure his continued development, a collective decision has been reached for Faruq to secure a loan deal away from 3SC. He is set to continue his career in the Nigerian top flight with a club in Abakaliki.

Speaking on the move, Coach Bashir Abolarinwa in Ilorin emphasized that the loan was strategically made to allow the talented youngster to play regularly and maintain his progression in elite football.

“The decision for Faruq to get a loan deal from Shooting Stars to Abakaliki was a collective decision,” Coach Abolarinwa stated. “The primary objective is for him to continue playing top-flight football, gain valuable experience, and further his career.”

The management and supporters of his former club, Gaa Akanbi FC, have expressed their well-wishes for the player’s success in his new endeavour.

This loan move represents a critical juncture for the young star, offering him the platform to showcase his abilities consistently and fight for a future return to his parent club as a more seasoned and impactful player.

Teenage Prodigy Makes Dream Debut with Stunning Goal for Gaa Akanbi FC

A 14-year-old Taiye Salaudeen announced his arrival to the senior stage in spectacular fashion on Saturday, scoring a fantastic goal on his debut for Gaa Akanbi FC’s main team in the ongoing Kay Cup.

The young midfielder, who captains the club’s U16 side, made an immediate impact in the match against Araba FC, firing in what spectators described as a “banging” long-range strike.

Salaudeen is already a recognized talent in Kwara State’s youth football circuit. He has been making waves as one of the standout midfielders in the ongoing Taiwo Awoniyi’s Kwara Kiddies League, where his trademark long-range efforts are considered among the best goals of the tournament.

Speaking after the match, an elated Salaudeen expressed his gratitude. “I appreciate the technical crew for giving me the opportunity to play for the main team. I am so happy to score my first goal,” he said. The teenager also highlighted the club’s strong family engagement: “I thank the club management for always calling my dad and mum to notify them of training and match schedules. It really helps.”

Gaa Akanbi FC’s coach, Abolarinwa Bashir, praised the depth of talent coming through the ranks. “There are so many raw materials in the Kwara Kiddies League, most especially in Gaa Akanbi’s age-grade teams,” he stated.

Detailing the club’s holistic approach to youth development, Coach Bashir explained, “Speaking on how we get them ready for trainings and matches: we have the contacts of all parents and their school teachers. We make sure they are doing well both in their various schools and on the pitch.”

The debut goal from Salaudeen has sparked excitement among fans, who see it as a promising sign for both the player’s future and the club’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.
