TIME TO GO:
10 years ago, today, we started a journey in grassroots football development in Ile-Ife. It was out of passion and need to put Ile-Ife back on track as footballing community.
This started as regular discussion on glorious days of football rivalries in Ile-Ife between Oduduwa college and St. John's, St. David and Moremi, Ife City and Idita. The glorious days of people like Oleshin, Ebire, HankyPanky and many more.
At the end of the day, we decided to create this great club, Knights of Oduduwa Football Club, a.k.a Knights FC.
Throughout the 10 year journey of the club, we have gone through many stages of development and advancement, from a club that is scared to play Jungle Boys FC to a club that dominated Ife and Osun state at its peak. From a club that struggle to win local competitions to a State League champion. From an unknown club to the limelight of the Nationwide League Division 1.
It wasn't an easy journey but we keep pushing despite all the ups and downs.
We appreciate everyone that are there with us throughout this journey, the grassroots coaches in Ife, The referees council in Ife, the grassroots players, THE FANS and other great supporters of this club.
Today suppose to be a day of celebration but we are deeply saddened that today also will mark the end of the journey called Knights FC.
This was a very tough decision for our president but We the management believe it's for the best.
The good news is, we fulfilled our dream of reviving the football spirit in Ile-Ife and we believe other grassroots clubs will continue where we left off.
Appreciation once again to the aforementioned, our president, all the managers and coaches that passed through the club.
We may cease to exist as a football club but we will continue to support grassroots football development in Ile-Ife and environs.
The name, Knights Football Club, Ile-Ife, The logos and all related materials including Knights football academy are still properties of Seenesco Sports Company. The usage of the name, logos and all related materials without proper clearance is illegal.
This also serve as official notice to Osun State Football association that Knights Football Club is no longer affiliated with the FA.
