📷64th National Council Meeting comes to an end as new theme and calendar unveiled ⚓️

The 64th National Council Meeting which took place at the Archbishop Vining Collage of Theology, Akure, Ondo State came to an end with far reaching decision aimed at the progress of The Boys' Brigade, Nigeria.

Prof. Engr. Samson Duna the chair of meeting, preceded over critical issues bothering on the growth of the organization in Nigeria.

Delegates deliberated extensively for two days on critical issues affecting the organization in Nigeria, the issues discussed are Uniform Standardization, Ongoing Projects, Purchase of additional lands, Constitutional provisions, denominational fellowship, the use of Quarter Guard and progress of The Boys' Brigade, Nigeria.

On the tenure of the National Secretary, Dr. Adamu Malgwi and his Assistant National Secretary Mr. Dele Taiwo, which will elpsed on 16th November, 2026. The National President gave recommendations of the National Office Bearers, extending the tenure for an additional three months period which will end in March 2026 and it was rectify by the National Council.

The newly inaugurated Staff and Establishment Committee are saddle with the responsibility of the process of application and appointment of the two positions.

Consequently, the National Bible Study and Art/Craft Competition took place at the sidelines of meeting, with the following State Councils emerging;

Art and Craft
1st Position - Borno State
2nd Position - Ogun State
3rd Position - Oyo State

Bible Study - Junior Section
1st Position - Bauchi
2nd Position - Nassarawa State
3rd Position - Plateau State

Bible Study - Company/Senior Section
1st Position - Bauchi State
2nd Position - Kaduna State
3rd Position - Plateau State

The theme of the year was unveiled to delegates "Stand Firm in a Pervasive Generation, Ephesians 6:13" while the National Council Calendar and Bible Study Manuals for the year 2026/2027 were dedicated and given approval which will commence effectively on 1st September, 2026.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a communique was issued by the communique committee chaired, the State President of Plateau State Council Barr. Yilji David Nenfwang on behalf of the National Council.

Plateau State Council was given approval to host the 65th National Council Meeting in 2027.

The Ondo State Council hosted a warm reception at the Olumuyiwa Barnard Aliu Airport, Akure to welcome the National President, Prof. Engr. Samson Duna yesterday Thursday 27th August, 2026.
