If this were a movie, many people would say it is too unbelievable to be realโ€ฆ but this happened in real life and it involves a married woman at the centre of it all

Edo State Police Command has now taken over the matter deeply
They have arrested the woman who was identified as Oluchi Ugbowan and three other suspects over what investigators describe as a staged k!dnapping designed to obtain โ‚ฆ5O mi||ion in rans0m from her own family

According to p0lice reports, the case began on June 1, 2O26, when her husband, Mr. Tony Ugbowan, reported that his wife had been k!dnapped while heading to her shop around Ramat Park in Benin City

Shortly after, the family reportedly began receiving rans0m calls demanding โ‚ฆ5O mi||ion for her release

Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit reportedly tracked and arrested one suspect, Israel Ability, where the vict!mโ€™s phone was allegedly recovered from him

And according to p0lice findings, that was the first major crack in the case
Further investigation later led officers to a hotel in Delta State, where Oluchi herself was reportedly found

From there, the story reportedly unraveled completely
Police say she confessed to staging her own k!dnapping and even led investigators to other accomplices

One of the more disturbing details from the investigation is the claim that videos showing her tied up were recorded and circulated to make the k!dnapping look real

Another suspect, including an 18-year-old, was allegedly involved in acting out parts of the staged scenario, including pointing a firearm during the recordings

A pump-action gun was also reportedly recovered during the investigation

This is too bad of her
Such occurrence can make it harder for real k!dnapping vict;ms to be taken seriously in moments of urgency
At this point, p0lice say four suspects have been arrested and investigations are still ongoing
