🚨Carlos Baleba asked why he rejected Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid for Manchester United:
🗣️ Reporter: “Carlos, you had proposals from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Real Madrid. Why did you wait for Manchester United?”
🗣️ Baleba: “Because I knew where I wanted to play. When Manchester United came for me, it was not a decision I needed to think about for a long time. I had other big proposals, very good clubs, but I kept saying no because I was waiting for United.
“I wanted to play at Old Trafford. I wanted to experience what it means to wear this shirt and be part of this club. For me, it wasn’t just about joining a big team. It was about joining the club I felt was right for my career.
“I’ve also spoken a lot with Amad. He told me so many things about Manchester United, the supporters, the dressing room and what it feels like to play for this club. That made me even more certain. I wanted to come here and play with him, with Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Bryan Mbeumo. Those are players I’m excited to share the pitch with.
🗣️ Reporter: “So even when other clubs came with big proposals, you were still waiting?”
🗣️ Baleba: “Yes. I had opportunities where I could have said yes immediately, but I didn’t want to make a decision just because another club was interested. I knew what I wanted.
“Manchester United had to be the club. I waited because I believed the opportunity would come, and when it finally did, I wasn’t going to let it pass. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid are incredible clubs, but my mind was already made up. I wanted Manchester United.”
