Olubayo Adekanmbi is an award-winning business executive in Strategy, Analytics and Marketing who has established a track record of superior performance in conceptualizing and implementing business/commercial/analytical strategy.
He is a hands-on Data scientist and convener of Data Science Nigeria. He recently authored "The Future is Shared,” a first of its kind book on the sharing economy which explores how the concept of scarcity is being challenged by “connected abundance“ and the impact of disruptive trends on business landscape in emerging markets.
Between July 2015 and September 2016, he took a 15-month sabbatical from his role as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at MTN Telecommunication Nigeria for PhD research in Sharing Economy, Data Science and Strategic Digital Innovations for business transformation and social development.
Post-sabbatical, Bayo is back at MTN Nigeria as the Chief Transformation Officer, driving a holistic programme aimed to accelerate business performance, innovations and advanced analytics. He has been awarded with the prestigious MTN Yello Star award for the conceptualization of a Customer Value/Risk Management framework, which led to multi-billion naira revenue growth.
