Omi Adio was filled with joy on Saturday as Malomo Taofeek Ayodeji, former captain of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan and current player for Dinamo City of Albania, returned to his roots after a successful season in Europe. His visit was a full-circle moment — a son of the soil coming back to where it all began.
The highlight was our routine Saturday training where Malomo laced his boots and played alongside Omi Adio All Stars. He scored the opening goal. Young players in the community shared the pitch with a professional who walked the same streets they walk today. Fellow professional footballers also joined, turning the session into a celebration of talent, discipline, and community spirit.
Malomo’s return sent a strong message to every young player in Omi Adio: _Your dream is valid, and your roots matter_. Success does not mean forgetting where you started. We thank Malomo for making time to return home, and we thank all players, fans, and community members who made Saturday memorable.
