The Buguma Boat Regatta & Music Festival is a premier cultural-sporting festival designed to celebrate, preserve, and commercially showcase the rich aquatic heritage of the Kalabari people of Buguma-Asalga Conceptualized as an institutional-grade, landmark cultural property, this maiden edition is the exclusive creative brainchild of Holiveah Lawson, Director of Holiveah Artistry, organizing in close strategic partnership with De Pub Tavern Resources Limited.

โ€‹Buguma, the historical and traditional headquarters of the Kalabari Kingdom, possesses an illustrious legacy of naval organization, communal cohesion, and aquatic artistry. This festival elevates ancestral maritime displays into a highly structured, professionally managed, and commercially viable modern event. By combining synchronized war canoe exhibitions (Alali-Aru and Omu-Aru), elite speed-rowing tournaments, and rich mainland cultural pageantry, the Buguma Boat Regatta serves as a powerful catalyst for local tourism, youth empowerment, social cohesion, and high-impact corporate brand positioning in the Niger Delta.

The historic festivities will culminate in a premium, high-energy official after-party at the prestigious King Amachree Square, creating an immersive experience that bridges authentic traditions with contemporary lifestyle and entertainment.
