The General Manager, Bida Lions FC, Yakubu Alfa MON, has pledged to revive the fortunes of the club with his wealth of experience.
In an exclusive interview with Newslinesports, Alfa revealed that the reconstituted management team is working assiduously to restore the glory of the Bida elite club.
The Former Nigerian International disclosed that the ongoing recruitment exercise for new players is nearing completion, with top talents painstakingly being identified and selected.
According to Yakubu Alfa, the technical crew has demonstrated commendable commitment, and the management will continue to provide them with unwavering support.
The former Nigerian international, who featured at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2007 and the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009 revealed that the club’s first competitive outing under the new administration will be the State Presidential Cup.
The Bida Lions' General Manager emphasized that the long-term vision of the management is to transform the team into a sustainable and competitive football brand capable of standing the test of time.
He appealed to supporters to remain patient and keep faith with the rebuilding process.
Yakubu Alfa, who was conferred with the national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger,MON following Nigeria’s triumph at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, previously played for Niger Tornadoes FC in the domestic league.
He also had professional stints abroad with Helsingborgs IF in Sweden and AEK Larnaca in Cyprus among other clubs.
