So, why the change? It’s all due to Michelob ULTRA, which now sponsors the award. The beer brand’s slogan, "Superior Light Beer", is reflected in the new title. This shift in branding is not limited to FIFA’s top tournaments — we've already seen it featured in competitions like the Copa América and the CONCACAF Champions Cup. 🇺🇸📢

Navas had a dream 2014 FIFA World Cup, which catapulted him into the global spotlight and earned him a move to Real Madrid that very summer. He went on to replace the legendary Iker Casillas as Madrid’s starting goalkeeper. 👏

Navas became a crucial figure in Real Madrid’s historic three-peat of the UEFA Champions League titles from 2016 to 2018, making decisive saves in critical moments. His contributions were essential to their success. 🏆🏆🏆

But then, in 2018, Real Madrid signed Thibaut Courtois - the 2018 World Cup Golden Glove winner. Navas, despite his vital role in those Champions League victories, was relegated to the bench. After years of proving himself, he was eventually sold. 💔
