One minute you're fine, the next you're searching the internet at 2 a.m. asking, “Is this normal?” 😭
Mum, take a deep breath. ❤️
You don't need to live in fear throughout pregnancy.
You need knowledge, preparation and the confidence to know when to seek help .And what to do
Here are simple ways to stay safer and calmer , in pregnancy :
1️⃣ Keep your antenatal appointments. Don't skip them simply because you feel fine.
Some pregnancy complications can develop without obvious symptoms, and your healthcare team or midwife checks important things during these visits.
2️⃣ Know YOUR normal. Pay attention to how you normally feel, especially as your pregnancy progresses. If something suddenly feels very different or concerning, don't ignore it. Read that again
3️⃣ Don't self-medicate. Before taking medicines, herbal mixtures or supplements during pregnancy, ask your healthcare provider. “Natural” does not automatically mean safe in pregnancy.
4️⃣ Learn the REAL danger signs.
🚨 Seek urgent medical care if you experience symptoms such as heavy vaginal bleeding, severe abdominal pain, severe headache or vision changes, difficulty breathing, seizures, fainting, or noticeably reduced/absent baby movements when you would normally expect movement.
