Mason Greenwood was sold to Marseille just to satisfy a section of Manchester United fans who didn’t want him back because of his private life.
The court had investigated the allegations of domestic violence but found no grounds to press charges.
Mason publicly apologized and pleaded for forgiveness, but after months of internal discussions, Manchester United made it clear his time at the club was over.
He was eventually sold to Marseille last season for a throwaway fee, simply to remove him from Old Trafford.
Now, Greenwood has scored more goals than the entire United squad combined. 💔
An academy product was discarded for peanuts, and in the end, Manchester United remains the biggest loser of the Greenwood saga.
