Gold 🪙 , Guns, and Greed

Many of the world's most powerful empires did not rise on vision, knowledge and strength alone, they rose on gold taken from African lands, guns used to enforce dominance, and greed that valued their profit over the people.

From the transatlantic slave trade to colonial extraction, Africa's resources enriched others while millions of Africans paid the price.....and are still paying the price.
It's not new that history is not about dwelling on the past, it is about understanding how the world we live in today was shaped, and ours came with brutality and neglect.

Gold, guns, and greed, three pillars of empires across the globe, and Africa supplied the wealth, endured the v!ol£nc£, and still carried the scars.

For centuries, Mama Africa fed the world with her treasures while her own children were denied the harvest.
A giant force to reckon with, carrying enough wealth to change the world.
When will the sons and daughters of her soil wake up?

African Women as Political Influencers

Many people imagine women in traditional African societies mainly as traders and homemakers.

But history tells a bigger story: Across Africa, women advised kings, influenced succession, settled disputes, led political councils, and in some cases ruled entire kingdoms. In societies such as the Igbo, Yoruba, Akan, and others, women's organizations and Queen Mothers played important roles in governance and decision-making.

Power in traditional Africa was often more shared than many people realize, because women were not just participants in society, they were political influencers, kingmakers, diplomats, and leaders.

African history is richer when we remember that leadership was not always a man's domain.

Climate Migration Is Already Happening.

When people think of migration, they often think of conflict or economic hardship, but across Africa, another force is quietly pushing people out from their homes, it's what we call CLIMATE CHANGE.

In the Horn of Africa, prolonged droughts have devastated crops and livestock, forcing families to relocate in search of water and livelihoods. Along parts of West Africa's coastline, rising sea levels, erosion, and flooding are gradually displacing communities that have lived there for generations.

Climate migration is not a future prediction, it is a present reality, as weather patterns become more extreme, millions of Africans face the challenge of adapting to environments that are becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.

The story of climate change is not only about temperatures and emissions. It is also about people, communities, and the search for a place to call home.
