A Proud Moment for CNS Spikers and Nigerian Volleyball
After ten days of rigorous intellectual, technical, and practical engagement, the CAVB International Refereeing Candidate Course, hosted by Egypt for the first time in 30 years (since 1996), successfully concluded on 09 February 2026. The course was organized in collaboration with the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) and held under the supervision of the FΓ©dΓ©ration Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) as part of the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment β Knowledge Transfer Programme.
This prestigious programme assembled 30 elite referee candidates from 19 African countries, including five female referees, all of whom underwent intensive theoretical lectures on the Rules of the Game and officiated 30 practical matches, testing their competence, consistency, confidence, and decision-making at the highest continental standard.
