We are so excited about this one! At the Just Kick It! 5 - aside women football tournament we will also be showcasing other sports where women are challenging gender barriers! 💜

Praise is a public health professional that engages in combat sports as a hobby. She started 4.5 years ago and has had competitions ranging from no-gi to charity MMA fights. She has a gold medal for the National British Universities and Colleges in under 70s Judo, 2016 including wins and silver medals from other competitions. Her passion is charity work but she strongly believes in supporting women in combat sports to help build confidence, keep fit and have fun.

On the 12th of October we hosted our first football camp for Girls under the title TEAM UP FOR GIRLS. The activity was part of the weeks.

With the financial support of and the Chairman of the FCT Football Associaton we were able to host 60 girls from diffrent backgrounds, including an IDP camp and an Orphanage. The day was all smiles and football.

We want to keep the energy from that day to continue our efforts to build a sustainable program that offers football training for girls and caters to the specific needs of the girl - child.

On the 12th of October, in the framework of the International Day of the Girl Child and the International , Phoenix Women Football will be hosting a 1 day girls camp for girls from 6 to 15 years, with this camp, we hope to empower girls and foster social inclusion by creating an opportunity for girls from various socio-economic backgrounds to take part in our camp
We will host girls in the above stated age range to train with us, while providing spaces for them to play, learn and connect

Novelty Match for Phoenix FC Abuja at the Agon Tournament. This was a great opportuniy to present the team and sensitize the crowd to women's football. Maybe we even encouraged more women to join the team
