POINT SECURED, HEARTS TESTED.
Abia Angels FC Aba walked away with another point after a gritty, barren draw against hard-fighting Nasarawa Amazons FC on Match Day 4 of the NWFL Premiership Super 6 Playoffs.
The Angels came to play. They created several clear goal-scoring chances and kept pushing all game. Players like Winner David were constant threats, making dangerous incursions into the Amazons’ goal area. The final touch let them down today, but the intent and energy were there for all fans at Adokiye Stadium to see.
Drama peaked in the 90th minute. Nasarawa Amazons got what looked like a heartbreak penalty a golden chance to sn**ch all 3 points. Stadium held its breath... but the kick struck the bar and bounced away. Football, sometimes cruel, sometimes kind. Final whistle: 0-0.
Where it leaves us:
Abia Angels now sit on 5 points from 4 games. The underdogs tag is gone. This is a team that fights, creates, and refuses to be bullied in the Super 6.
