Second Stopover | Penang Island
After the second passage race from Pangkor Island, the fleet arrived in Penang and berthed at Straits Quay..
Windshikher, skippered by Sarab Jeet Singh, claimed line honours with an impressive elapsed time of 8 hours 6 minutes. However, after handicap corrections, Hollywood Samurai, skippered by Ray Roberts, secured victory in the Raja Muda Cup Class 1, ahead of The Next Factor and Windshikher.
In the Jugra Cup Premier Cruising Class, Shatoosh, skippered by James Caleem, claimed the win over Rama Rama VG, skippered by RSYC Commodore Ramasamay Menon, by 3 minutes 40 seconds on corrected time.
Following a well-earned rest, crews gathered at Straits Quay Marina for the ever-popular Rickshaw Race, before enjoying the lively RMSIR Quiz Night, bringing sailors together for an evening of fun and camaraderie.
The next morning, racing resumed with the first inshore races between Penang and Butterworth, with providing a stunning backdrop. After two inshore races, competitors explored the historic , sampled Penang's famous hawker food, and gathered for the prize-giving dinner at before preparing for the final passage north to Langkawi. ⛵
