SWASHBUCKLERS FENCING CLUB

It's a wrap! With a heavy heart and deep sadness, Swashbucklers Fencing officially closed its doors on the 30 Nov 2021 at 9.30pm.

It has been a wonderful 15-year journey and our absolute pleasure coaching all the fencers; past and present, and watching them grow. We hope we have impacted their lives positively.

We at Swashbucklers Fencing would like to take this opportunity to thank the Malaysian Fencing Federation, Selangor Amateur Fencing Association, our fellow fencing colleagues and all whom we have worked together or have crossed path in fencing.

Special appreciation goes to the Swashbucklers Fencing family; fencers, parents and our assistant coaches, namely Eric, Yong Ching and Ian. Not forgetting our family members too, they have cheered us on and supported us in many ways throughout our fencing career! From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your unwavering support over the years. We salute you all!

We would also like to thank God for His many blessings, favour and grace upon our club! We give all glory to Jesus!

It has been a pleasure knowing each and everyone of you! Do keep in touch!

Our final day at Swashbucklers Fencing Club, what better way than to end it with our energetic youth group!

We had a fun time sparring and playing "Chess" fencing game!

We have come a long way and are glad that you have picked up valuable life lessons from the fencing training here. May you continue to grow, shine and impact others around you!

We will miss y'all and look forward to seeing you in future competitions!

This is our last training session with the little Swash Knights.

We hope we have built a strong foundation for these little knights to grow into a beautiful person with great characters and attitude!

It has always been a joy coaching all of you!!

We have recently concluded our final Swashbucklers Fencing Duel, albeit a closed event. This was a truly meaningful one!

It has been almost 2 years since the last competition. So glad that the fencers are able to compete with one another once again! Let there be no more lockdowns!

Our hope is that these young fencers will continue to grow and excel, not just in fencing but in all areas of their lives.

It's a wrap! Fantastic display of sportsmanship and amazing fencing in the Tokyo 202One Olympics!

The 12 Gold medals went to 9 countries say so much about the development of fencing around the globe.

Fencing has been included in the Olympics since 1896. We hope that fencing will continue to grow in all the continents and that no events will be dropped out in future.

Thank you for all the hard work, Tokyo! Also, our gratitude goes to all who were involved in the games. Domo Arigato!

In Loving Memory of Mr. Celso L. Dayrit

19 December 1951 - 28 April 2021

We are deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Celso Dayrit's passing. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

He was the President of Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) for more than 15 years and he had also served the Philippines Olympic Committee as President from 1999 to 2004.

He had represented Philippines in fencing as an epeeist and as PAFA president from 1997 to 2008. A mentor, a gentleman and a highly respected and dedicated leader.

Thank you for your leadership and inspiration!

May your soul rest in peace. You will be greatly missed.
