The World Amateur Golfers Championship 2026 World Final was officially launched on 23rd June 2026 at the Johor Tourism Information Centre (JOTIC).

The event was officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, Chairman of Perodua; YBrs. Mohammad Nazrul Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor; Maizatul Liza Mukhtar, Director of Tourism Malaysia; and Colonel Mohammed Jamal Salleh, President of the Johor Golf Tourism Association (JGTA).

The media launch brought together WAGC representatives, tourism partners, sponsors, media members, and invited guests to mark the official beginning of the journey towards the WAGC 2026 World Final at The Els Club Desaru Coast, Johor, Malaysia.

As Johor prepares to welcome golfers from around the world, WAGC 2026 will be a celebration of sport, tourism, friendship, and international unity through the game of golf.

We look forward to welcoming the world to Johor.

The World Amateur Golfers Championship 2026 returns to the stunning Desaru Coast, bringing together over 600 amateur golfers from more than 40 countries for 9 days 8 nights of world-class competition and unforgettable moments.

Players will stay in luxury at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru, while taking on four championship-level courses from two of Malaysia’s premier golf destinations; The Els Club Desaru Coast (Ocean & Valley Course) and Forest City Golf Resort (Classic & Legacy Course)
