Last July, at the Corbin City Pool we came together to do the American Cancer Society’s swimming challenge for Cancer Research and Awareness. It was a beautiful evening. I received a message a few days later from my lovely friend Geri about coming to the event, she was fighting her own battle with cancer and spending each moment she could loving and living for her beautiful family, friends and community. She was a determined, funny, kind and courageous woman. On SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 5th from 7:00-8:30 pm would you meet me and my dear friend Elizabeth Mills, as we take our grief into the water and remember the lives that have impacted and shaped us. Please come and share this post ❤️ This year we will be raising money that you can directly donate through these links to two children in our community fighting cancer.

🐳 It’s time for the little ones to get in the water! 💦

We’re excited to introduce our new Baby Intro Lessons with Coach Dara! These private, 15-minute lessons are designed especially for swimmers ages 12 months to 2 years and are perfect for gently introducing your little one to the water.

Lessons focus on communication, breathing, acclimation, and safety floating to help young swimmers build comfort and foundational water skills at their own pace.

💦 Available Monday–Thursday | 1:00–3:00 PM

🐠 Ages 12 months–2 years
🐠 15-minute private lesson
🐠 $25 per lesson
🐠 $5 hosting fee due at the front desk
🐠 Caregivers do not enter the water
🐠 Thermal suit required

Book one weekly lesson or two on different days! Repetition and consistency can help your little swimmer become more comfortable and confident in the water. 🌊

Many of you have been asking about Coach Poppy, and we're happy to share that she she had her surgery last week and is recovering at home. Her doctors are optimistic, and we're hopeful she'll begin feeling better sooner! She's so thankful for everyone who has reached out, prayed for her, and supported her during this time. Please continue to keep Poppy in your thoughts as she rests and recovers!

It's been awhile since Coach Dara has lesson spots open to the public! As Cannonball's owner and head coach, Coach Dara's lessons are now $50 per 30-minute lesson.

Have two siblings who would like to learn together—or want to share a lesson with another swimmer? Email us! Two swimmers can share one lesson spot and split the cost 50/50.

🌊Meet Our New Coach: Coach Taylor Beth!🌊

Coach Taylor will be teaching lessons on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We're so excited to have her in the water with us!

You can learn more about Coach Taylor by reading her full bio:

Taylor learned to swim at the beach when she was 3 years old. After that, she started swimming with the Knox County Piranhas at age 5 and stayed there for 8 years, then swam with the Laurel County Barracudas until she turned 18 and graduated. Taylor also swam for Barbourville City School starting in 7th grade and staying there all through high school. She competed at the KHSAA Regional Championships, since her sophomore year of high school she placed top 3 in one of her main events 3 years in a row! After graduating Taylor swam for the University of the Cumberlands her freshman and sophomore year.

Outside the pool, Taylor enjoys all things active, including running, hiking, CrossFit, and still swimming! But she also enjoys taking it easy and traveling! She is currently studying at the University of the Cumberlands, double majoring in Psychology and Exercise Sports Science.

Taylor is so excited to help swimmers learn, whether that’s learning the basics of safe swimming or improving strokes. She hopes she’s able to make everyone love it as much as she did!

EDIT: 🚨 Lessons Are Happening Today - 8.24.26🚨
We have an update regarding the pool temperature . Pool management has checked the temperature and determined that the initial reading was caused by a broken thermostat. The pool temperature is now reading correctly and is ready for lessons!

Lessons will continue as scheduled.

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your patience as we worked to get the correct information. We look forward to seeing everyone in the water!
