What an incredible evening at the Brantham 5 Mile and Junior Fun Run last night! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who made the event such a success - our runners, junior runners, spectators, marshals, volunteers and committee members. The support and atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish.

We were absolutely delighted to sell out for the first time in our history - totalling almost 400 runners across our 2 race events. A fantastic milestone for us and a reflection of the amazing support from our local running community and beyond.

This year we made a significant investment to improve the event experience, including upgraded medals 🥇 and goodie bags for participants, and we really hope you enjoyed them (as well as the challenging course 😬)!

Any feedback and comments are always really welcome. Please share your photos etc in the comments - we’d love to see them!

Thank you once again for being part of such a memorable evening and helping us raise money for St Elizabeth Hospice. We couldn't do it without you, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year for the Brantham 5 Mile and Junior Fun Run 2027!

It’s been a busy day behind the scenes, but we’re now just 5 minutes away from the start of the Brantham 1 Mile Junior Fun Run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Then it’s straight on to the Brantham 5 Mile race at 7pm as we welcome runners from across the region for a fantastic evening of racing.

A huge good luck to all our runners taking part this evening. Have fun, give it your best effort, and enjoy every moment! Medals and goodie bags are waiting for you at the finish line. 🏅🎁

If your plans have changed and you are no longer able to take part, please let us know as soon as possible. By releasing your place, we can offer the opportunity to someone currently on the waiting list who is hoping to run.

The Brantham 5 Mile & 1 Mile Fun Run is finally here, and we can't wait to welcome you all for a fantastic evening of running and community spirit! 💙

Whether you're chasing a PB, taking on your first race, or cheering from the sidelines, it's set to be a brilliant event.

⏰ Race Numbers: Collect upstairs at Brantham Leisure Centre from 5:30pm (please have your Registration ID ready).

🏃 Race Start Times:
• 1 Mile Fun Run - 6:30pm
• Brantham 5 Mile - 7:00pm

🍔 Food will be available from throughout the evening, and don't forget to stay hydrated!

📢 Community Notice – Friday Evening in Brantham

This Friday evening (10th July), we are fortunate to have two fantastic events taking place in the village:

🏃‍♂️ The Brantham 5 Mile & Junior Fun Run at Brantham Leisure Centre, welcoming runners and supporters from across the area. Parking for this event will be available on the lower playing field and the BLC pitch, with marshals directing runners and visitors from New Village to the designated parking areas.

🎭 A Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society - BATS performance at Brantham Village Hall, showcasing the incredible talent of our local theatre group. Audience members have been asked to park considerately around the village.

As both events are expected to attract visitors, there may be increased traffic and parking pressures throughout the village.

🚧 Roadworks Notice Roadworks planned for Cattawade Street have now been pushed back to an 8:00pm start. Please note that a road closure will be in place. To access both Brantham Leisure Centre and Brantham Village Hall, we advise visitors to enter and exit the village via the Brantham Hill/Palfrey Heights entrance.

We kindly ask everyone to allow a little extra time for their journeys, park responsibly, and be mindful of the increased number of people moving around the village throughout the evening.

We wish both events every success and hope everyone attending has a wonderful evening supporting these fantastic community organisations.

🏃‍♀️ BRANTHAM 5 MILE & 1 MILE FUN RUN – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW! 🏃‍♂️

Race day is tomorrow!!!!! 🎉 Here's everything you need to know before you arrive...

📍 Race Numbers
Collect your race number and safety pins UPSTAIRS at Brantham Leisure Centre from 5:30pm. Please have your Registration ID ready.

🗺️ The Courses
🏃‍♂️ The 5 Mile route is the same as last year.
🏃 The Junior 1 Mile route is also unchanged, and parents are welcome to run alongside younger children.

🚻 Facilities
Toilets are available both upstairs and downstairs at the leisure centre.

🎒 Bag Drop
There is no official supervised bag drop, but you're welcome to leave belongings in the clubhouse at your own risk. Bag drop area is located in the Crowhurst Suite.

💧 Hydration
Please stay hydrated before, during and after your race. There will be one water station around Mile 3 on the 5 Mile course, with bottled water available at the finish.

🚫 Headphones
For the safety of all runners and in line with race regulations, headphones are not permitted. Anyone found using them will unfortunately be disqualified.

🚗 Car Park Information
Once the 5 Mile runners leave the field (just after 7:00pm), there will be a 15-minute window for Junior race families to leave the car park if they wish. After this, the exit becomes part of the race route, so vehicles will need to wait until the final runner has finished.

🍔 Food & Refreshments
Food will be available from Chef Neil 5:30pm–9:30pm.

🏅 Presentations
Junior race presentations will take place as soon as possible after the race and may happen while the 5 Mile event is still underway.

💻 Live Results
Follow the action with live results available throughout the evening on the registration/results website.

With over 300 runners and lots of supporters expected on race night, parking could be limited.

If you're coming with friends, family or fellow runners, please consider car sharing where possible. Every extra seat filled helps reduce traffic, eases parking and makes things run more smoothly for everyone.
