Your hard work, perseverance, and fighting spirit have made Sarawak proud. Wishing both of you continued success and even greater accomplishments in future competitions. Keep pushing boundaries and inspiring the next generation of swimmers.

Syabas and well done! 🌊🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

The feature highlights how two Sarawak swimmers, Magdalene Lau Ing Siew and Bryston Lee Kai Cheng, competed strongly in the open water events at the Sixth Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China. Magdalene placed third among Southeast Asians in the Women’s 5km, while Bryston finished sixth in the Men’s 5km, both showing discipline and resilience against Asia’s best. We are truly impressed by the recent press release by Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah emphasizing the full utilization of sports facilities across Sarawak. This forward-looking approach is both timely and strategic as we prepare for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games next year.

Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has urged sports associations to ensure upgraded facilities in Sarawak are fully utilised and not left to become “white elephants”, ahead of next year’s SEA Games.
