ESM Pro Team's 🇲🇾 Journey at the Asia Open Pickleball Championship 2024 🇻🇳

We are honored to share the incredible journey of ESM Pro Team at the Asia Open Pickleball Championship 2024 held in Ho Chi Minh from April 29th to May 4th. This marked our debut in the international arena, a milestone we've been eagerly anticipating.

Entering the Asia level tournament meant facing off against some of the finest pickleball players from across the continent, including those who regularly compete in the Major League Pickleball and PPA Tour.

Despite being our inaugural international outing, we opted to challenge ourselves by participating in the Open Category for Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Team Events, alongside other categories, in pursuit of exposure and invaluable experience against Asia's elite.

The standard of play at the tournament was nothing short of exceptional, with formidable opponents pushing us to our limits. We were privileged to compete against players from nations such as Chinese Taipei, India, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, each showcasing their immense talent and skill. It was a humbling and eye-opening experience that has left us inspired and more determined than ever to elevate our game.

Moreover, the tournament served as a platform for us to spotlight the abundant talent within Malaysia. We are honored to have received praise from our counterparts and even invitations to train together at their respective home bases. This acknowledgment further fuels our commitment to nurturing and showcasing the immense potential of Malaysian pickleball players on the global stage.

While we are pleased with our achievements, including some notable upsets against top seeds, we acknowledge that our journey is just beginning. We remain grounded in the understanding that there is still much to learn and improve upon. Thus, we are fully committed to intensifying our training and development efforts, knowing that Malaysia possesses the potential to excel in pickleball.
