Sabah Masters Athletic Association (SAMAS) Sabah Masters Athletic Association (SAMAS) What is Masters Athletics? The competitions feature five-year age groups beginning at age 35.

Masters athletics is a class of the sport of athletics for veteran athletes in the events of track and field, road running and cross country running. Men as old as 105s[1] and women in their 100s[2] have competed in running, jumping and throwing events. Masters are sometimes also known as veterans. Masters Athletics State Governing Body:
Sabah Masters Athletic Association (SAMAS) is a registered u

mbrella body for all Masters Athletes in the State of Sabah. It serves and function as a platform for Masters Athletes members both Men and Women aged 35-95 and above years of age to pursue and continue their passion in competitive running particularly in the events of Track & Field, road running and cross country running. SAMAS also provides the avenue and opportunities for these class of athletes, and for all ex-state or ex-national athletes to make a come back or get back on the track and field ground to continue their passion and to demonstrate and push themselves to the limit. SAMAS members has been actively participating in Athletic Championships, representing Sabah in national and Malaysia in the international level.
