Evgeny Pechenin, team rider, has shared his impressions about Ural MTB Marathon 2016 with us:
"I put my back into yesterday's race and it let me be the second. And I am happy with this result. I’d like to highlight the toughness of the marathon route: 60 km with a serious ascent of 1900 meters.
On the first and on the third lap I pushed myself to the limit but the competitors did their best from the start. On the second mountain the mountain finish was played, and I slightly fell behind from Maxim Gogolev and Pavel Pryadein but by the end of a lap managed to catch up with the leaders. From the second lap I struggled with Gogolev as Pryadein had lagged behind for technical reasons.
Thanks to the organizers for the good route and the organization of the competitions. I hope that the marathon will become traditional in Yekaterinburg and we will fight for prizes with pleasure again".

«Отдал много сил на вчерашней гонке. Как итог, второе место. И я доволен результатом. Хочется отметить сложность трассы Марафона: 60 км с серьезным набором высоты 1900 метров.
На первом и на третьем круге я работал во всю мощь, но конкуренты включились по максимуму с самого старта. На второй горе разыгрывался горный финиш, и я чуть приотстал от Гоголева Максима и Прядеина Павла, к концу круга смог догнать лидеров, со второго круга боролся с Гоголевым, Прядеин отстал по техническим причинам с велосипедом.
Спасибо организаторам за хорошую трассу и организацию соревнований, надеюсь, что марафон станет традиционным в Екатеринбурге, с удовольствием поборемся за призы и в следующий раз».
