THE COW BOYS RIDE HIGH AT EKWAIWENI
Tafika Sports Academy Reserve U17, widely known as the Cow Boys of Ekwaiweni, produced a spirited performance to defeat Chivanga 2-1 in a pulsating Northern Region encounter at Ekwaiweni Ground.
The match lived up to expectations as both sides battled fiercely from the opening whistle, but the hosts showed greater hunger and determination in front of their passionate supporters.
Goalkeeper Cromwell emerged as one of the standout performers after producing a series of brilliant saves to keep Tafika in control during crucial moments of the game.
Out wide, Chiza terrorised the visitors with explosive runs and dangerous deliveries, while Praise dictated attacking play with intelligent passing. Mbuko also stamped authority in midfield with a commanding display.
James proved to be the difference maker after netting crucial goals at important stages of the match, as experienced campaigners Mike and Mphatso provided leadership and calmness to guide the youthful squad to victory.
Following the triumph, Director Shupo Kumwenda and Treasurer General Taweni Msiska praised the team for their fighting spirit and commitment. In appreciation of the victory, Msiska rewarded the Cow Boys with a K100,000 bonus as the team continues preparing for the Northern Region competition.
