One of our major goals BASMAL is to empower women through sports. This includes empowering women in leadership positions, technical expertise and athletes. We are slowly moving towards that goal.

So now this year our goal is to launch the first women's national basketball league. We named it Malawi Women Basketball League (MWBL)
This league seeks to bring all ladies teams across the country to compete amongst themselves. This league aims as growing teams so that they maybe able to be ready to play at international levels. It aims to empower women across all of basketball in Malawi from executive, to coaching, to reffing.

We want women to be given the court so Malawi can gave champions.
Happy International Women's Day.
