FLA DELIGHTS IN ITS SUCCESS

Last Saturday we hosted a fundraising gala dinner in Lilongwe and we are proud of the progress FLA has made in just 3 years.

This progress is only possible because of the trust and confidence our partners, sponsors, and supporters have in us.

Our Board Chairperson *Jim Kalua* said:
*_“FLA is not simply about ceremonies, or bringing football legends together. It is about dignity, security and standing together when one needs help.
It is about ensuring that men and women who gave their talent, time and energy to Malawian football are never abandoned when the cheering stops. That is why we gathered here tonight to celebrate the progress we have made and, more importantly, to raise resources towards the welfare of our legends.”__

*“Our work has changed the lives of many legends who are no longer viewed as people who once entertained the nation. We are now being recognised as an important part of Malawi’s football heritage, with knowledge, experience and influence that can still greatly contribute to the development of the game.”*

We sincerely thank all *32 partners* who continue to support FLA. Special appreciation to *Thomson Mpinganjira*, President of Mighty Wanderers FC, for his support.

In the last 3 years we have also:
✅ Launched skills development programmes for legends
✅ Opened a business centre at Chitipi in Lilongwe with K25 million invested in screen printing and advertising equipment
✅ Grown our merchandise business

We were also honoured to host the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture *Hon. Alfred Gangata*, who hailed FLA for the great work we are doing to improve the lives of football legends.

To our legends: We see you. We value you. We will keep standing with you.
