A NEW WORLD RECORD! 🤯🌍

The opening set of the preparation match between Italy 🇮🇹 and Germany 🇩🇪 lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes, with Germany finally taking it 66–64! 😱⏳

And after 3 hours and 50 minutes, Italy eventually won the match 3–2! 🇮🇹💥

Volleyball coach Peter Pemba has made history by becoming the first Malawian to attain the FIVB Level III Coaching Certificate, the highest coaching qualification awarded by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball.

Pemba successfully completed the FIVB Level III Coaching Course held in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 8 to 15 August 2026.

The course attracted 32 coaches from across the region, with only 18 successfully passing. Malawi had three coaches participating, but Pemba was the only Malawian to pass.

Pemba is currently the Head Coach of Blue Eagles Volleyball Club and serves as Assistant Coach of the Region 5 Women’s National Volleyball Team.

The Volleyball Association of Malawi has congratulated Pemba on the achievement, describing it as a milestone that reflects his dedication, professionalism and commitment to improving coaching standards in Malawi.

HISTORY MADE! 🙏🏐

I am humbled and grateful to announce that I have successfully completed the FIVB Level III Coaching Course in Harare, Zimbabwe held from 8th to 15th August.

Out of 32 candidates from the region, 18 passed. By God’s grace, I am proud to be the first Malawian ever to attain FIVB Level III - the highest coaching qualification in volleyball.

Thank you to the Volleyball Association of Malawi for the opportunity, to Blue Eagles Volleyball Club , Region 5 Women’s National Team, my family, and all of you for the support.

This is not just my win. This is for Malawi Volleyball.
I’m committed to using this knowledge to develop our coaches, our players, and take our game to the next level.
