U10 International Tournament Experiences in Italy 🇮🇹 and Greece 🇬🇷
Our U10 squads recently had the opportunity to represent the club in two international tournaments - one travelling to Turin, Italy, and the other competing in Corinth, Greece.
The players in Turin faced a strong Juventus affiliated academy, providing an excellent test against high-quality opposition.
The tournament itself was played over two days. On Saturday, the team produced a series of good performances to finish 2nd out of 8 teams, earning qualification to a higher-level competition bracket on Sunday, where the players competed against stronger opposition and recorded a mixture of positive results.
Beyond football, the group also visited Superga, where they paid tribute to the victims of the tragic Torino air disaster of 1949. To conclude the trip, the players attended the Turin Derby, between Torino FC and Juventus FC, experiencing the atmosphere of top-level professional football first-hand.
Meanwhile, our U10A squad travelled to Corinth, Greece, where they competed in a highly competitive tournament featuring teams from across the country. The event included prestigious clubs such as AEK Athens and Fiorentina, providing a fantastic environment for player development.
The team played a total of 8 matches, recording 6 victories, 1 draw and only 1 defeat. Their encouraging performances throughout the tournament earned them an impressive 9th-place finish out of 24 teams, demonstrating both their quality and consistency against strong opposition.
These international tournaments provide invaluable opportunities for young players to experience different playing styles and strong competition helping them develop both on and off the pitch. They also strengthen friendships, team spirit and personal growth through shared experiences and challenges.
The club is proud of the commitment and performances shown by both squads and looks forward to providing more opportunities in the future.
