After a few anxious waited days, Lionel Messi is now officially a PSG player

PSG announce Messi

Five days on from the announcement that Lionel Messi would not be rejoining Barcelona as planned, French side Paris Saint Germain have announced that he will play in the French capital next season.

Lionel Messi joins the club on a two-year deal, with an option to stay for another year, and will take home a salary of 35 million euros per year, as well as a 25 million euro signing on fee.

The Argentine superstar, widely considered the greatest football player of all time, will wear the number 30 shirt, in a tribute to the shirt in which he made his Barcelona debut.

Neymar happy to be reunited

Former teammate Neymar took no time in welcoming his fellow forward to the club, posting a picture of the pair on Instagram with the caption “back together”, and had reportedly even offered the Argentine the illustrious number 10 shirt, which he currently holds.

It means that PSG will now boast a front0line consisting of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, which has the potential to be the most lethal forward line in club football history. In Angel di Maria and Julian Draxler, the backups have plenty of experience too.

Meanwhile, PSG have added Messi to a fantastic summer, which has already seen them sign Georgino Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma on free transfers, and add full-back Achraf Hakimi to their side also.

With such additions, there is no reason for them not to be lifting the prestigious Champions League trophy this season

"The other day I had a discussion with other African football Legends about why African Players choose to represent Foreign countries instead of their own. In my opinion I think although they don't choose their own nations and it certainly brings bad luck to some of them.

Look at Dembele, Ansu Fati, Sane, Jerome Boateng, Balotelli etc, most of them suffer with long term injuries, some gets their contracts terminated and end up going to lower division from playing for the biggest teams in Europe. Some are successful with their adopted national teams and clubs but yet they find problems knocking on their doors, like the recent news about Boateng ex Girlfriend. I think the gods in their original countries aren't happy.

Another example is Pogba! No one is satisfied with Pogba no matter how much he tries, that's another sign of bad luck. Umtiti has also suffered a lot and now he finds himself on the sidelines. Chelsea Rudiger, and you name them. I am not manipulating anyone, if they want to keep overlooking their own countries it's up to them. What i know is that they don't last long and those countries are only happy when they deliver good. Once things gets bad, they are the first to be sidelined.

A story of Mario Balotelli. He was a darling in Euros 2012 taking Italy in Euro's Final that year, unfortunately they lost heavily to Spain and Italy blamed Mario Balotelli, for their lost. All his efforts to helped Italy reach the Grand Final fell on ungrateful hands. It's very painful but we all have freedom of choice. This is just my opinion, not everyone opinion "

He has ran so many races and won them with Barcelona and Spain. What He said was true. I need to win Trophies before I can be among the elite level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, including the likes of Pique. In the end you need to win more big Trophies international and across Europe, His comments is actually an advice to me not an Insult. It's up to you how you analyzed it.
